FROM SANTIAGO TO THE ADRIATIC

Militza Kovačević is a Chilean fashion designer, shaped by a life lived across borders, landscapes and cultures. Her creative journey began in Santiago, where she studied fashion design and first discovered what she has dedicated herself to ever since: the possibility of transforming a simple white fabric into something completely different.

Over the course of 18 years, she worked and studied in four countries, absorbing new perspectives and deepening her craft.

There is something magical about taking a fabric that has been by-passed or discarded and turning it into something alive, full of color, texture and meaning.

With Croatian roots , she eventually returned to a place that felt both new and deeply familiar. The landscape itself became her material. Wild herbs, walnut shells, oak leaves, coastal lavender, and many other species. Croatia didn't just inspire her work. It became the work itself.

"I choose slowness over speed, intention over mass production, creativity over waste. Beauty comes when we work with nature, not against it."

FROM EARTH TO STYLE

Every piece Militza creates follows the same, unhurried sequence. It starts with recycled fabric and ends with something unique. All the steps in between - craft.

1. Return to fabric

High-quality cotton and silk collected from Croatian and European producers who would otherwise throw them away. What others call waste, Militza sees as raw material waiting to become something new.

2. Picking plants

Walnut shells, marigold petals, oak leaves, pomegranate peel, lavender, sage, fig leaves, and rosemary are just a few of the locally gathered and selected for their natural pigment and the story they carry.

3. Natural coloring

The fabrics are dyed in small batches with vegetable dyes. The process is slow and intuitive. The color that soaks into the fabric is never completely predictable.

4. Botanical print

Leaves and petals are arranged directly on the fabric, rolled tightly and steamed for hours. When unrolled, the fabric reveals delicate natural prints - spontaneous, organic, alive. No two are the same.

5. Handmade

Each piece is cut, sewn and finished in her Croatian studio. No two pieces are the same. Each one is unique - just like the landscape that inspired it.

FOR SHOPS AND BUYERS

Why this brand belongs on your shelves

Militza Kovačević offers customers something increasingly rare: a brand with an authentic story, a clear stance, and pieces that customers won't find anywhere else. Each item is unique, creating a natural scarcity and emotional value. There is no pressure of minimum orders, every piece sold was a piece that meant something to the person who chose it.

Authentic Origin: 18 years of experience in the craft. Each piece is made by a single pair of hands.

Natural uniqueness: no two pieces are identical. Once sold, that particular piece is gone forever. That's an advantage, not a limitation.

Sustainability with credibility: recycled fabric, plant-based dyes, circular practices. A story that resonates with today's conscious shopper.

Visual recognition: botanical prints, earthy natural tones, and handmade texture stand out clearly on every shelf or in every gift shop.
